Holliday was totally on top of it for me, and I could not thank her enough. She had a lot to keep up with since I had so many items and DIY projects, but everything came together, and I knew I wouldn’t have to worry with her in charge. She did a great job, at an amazing price, and I appreciated her staying the extra hour, and staying to tear down all the items I brought in. She was awesome and kept me laughing, and through the whole process, was patient with me when my schedule became packed, and I was late for meetings, etc. She’s really a top-notch pro, and I can’t wait to work with her again!

Plan-It! is handling the details of my little sister's wedding and believe me we wouldn't let just anyone handle such an important event. Having dealt with Holliday on both a professional and personal level I can say without a doubt that Plan-It! will not let you down. Having established herself as a successful business Holliday knows all the right folks in town to provide top quality and the best pricing. Holliday is creative, professional and organized which, I think, are the most important qualities in an event planner. We can't wait to see what she plans for my sister's wedding!

I have worked with Holliday on several events over the last five years. In particular, she works with me on our annual "Holiday Party" for my husband's business. I find every year we work together to be a great success because of her professionalism and enthusiasm for bringing our vision to fruition. I would highly recommend Plan-It! for any event, whether it be corporate or social. She is very detail oriented and becomes as involved as much or as little as you desire.

A sweet sixteen party planned in 31 days! That is what Holliday did for me. I live in NY and my niece lives in FL. I had only 31 days to plan her sweet sixteen! As if that wasn't hard enough I had to do it from NY. I knew the only way I could pull this off was with a party planner. I went online and found Holliday. Very scary for me cause I wasn't there (and I am a total control freak) but Holliday made it so easy for me to relax. She provided me with pictures of everything and we were in constant contact. I spoke to her more than my own mother. She is so fantastic; an absolute pleasure to work with. Right up to the day of the event, she is there making sure everything runs smoothly. You are actually able to enjoy your event! I would absolutely recommend Plan-It for your next event. I only wish I lived closer so that I could use her more often. Thanks Holliday! I wish you continued success!

I just would like to say Holliday is AWESOME at what she does! She helped me with my wedding - from the invitations to the favors, and by just keeping everyone calm! Holliday is my family and I don’t know if I would have been able to make it through all that planning without her and my mom.... She made my day so special for me and my husband. I am so thankful for her and what she has done!

Thank you SO much Holliday!!! I Love You!

Three ways to increase attendance

Reader advice varies quite a bit but shares a common thread: Time is a rare commodity these days. Calendars fill up quickly, and attendees are sensitive to the need for a higher payoff. That applies to events across town or across the country, at destination resorts. Readers suggest three ways to get your numbers up:

  • Make minor changes for a major difference.
  • Target your audience carefully.
  • Hold fewer events but make them memorable.

"People get bored with the same event," say Holliday Lisowski, owner of Plan-It. "You could change venues, change room setups or just the order of your program. Even the smallest tweak can seem like a big, fun change to your attendees," Lisowski says. Especially, if you promote the event in a way that builds anticipation -- perhaps with inexpensive postcard "teaser" mailings or an e-mail campaign.

My mother’s 50th birthday celebration was truly amazing, thanks to you Holliday! From the moment I mentioned throwing her a surprise party, you took the initiative and started getting things together. With your expertise and creativity, you were able to take my small idea and turn it into such a wonderful evening that my family and I will never forget. The biggest challenge was my small budget. You were willing and able to work within my limits, and the result was more than I had imagined. The set-up was stunning. And you didn’t just stop there. Throughout the whole evening you were making sure that all the guests were comfortable, the decorations was in place, and the food trays were full at all times. I’m very thankful for that because I too was able to mingle and enjoy the evening with my mom without having to worry about all the little details. I couldn’t thank you enough for all of your hard work! The look on my mother’s face when she arrived at the party was priceless! Thank you for allowing me to give her that special night!

Thanks,

I just wanted to thank you so much for all you have done for Kristin on the fundraiser to send her to Hawaii! The way you pulled it off from across the country at the last minute and came up with several ideas and a fundraising letter when all I did was send you the information. It was truly awesome and we really appreciate your hard work. It means so much to Kristin being able to cheer in the Hula Bowl and that is all thanks to you!!! And of course all the generous supporters who donated the funds to make her dreams come true. We will let you know how everything goes and provide you with pictures from the event.

Thanks Again!!!!!!
